Dr. Young C Jang, L.Ac., D.Ac. 

Dr. Young is a retired military medical professional who served with the U.S. Army Medical Command in a wide range of clinical and leadership assignments. His postings included the U.S. Army Medical Center & School Department of Dental Science, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center OMFSC, Fort Steward DENTAC, and Fort Meade DENTAC where he served as a Preventive Dentistry Specialist as well as a Dental Science Instructor and Writer.

He began his professional career in Oriental medicine and acupuncture after graduating from South Baylo University with Master of Science in Oriental medicine and acupuncture in 2001. Throughout his career, he has distinguished himself through excellence in patient care and a sustained commitment to education and mentorship. He has taught medical students in both military and academic environments, holding academic appointments as a military school instructor and curriculum developer in the Department of Dental Science at the U.S. Army Medical Center & School. In addition, he served as a faculty member teaching Pathophysiology at Dongguk University, Oriental Medical School in Los Angeles.

He possesses a comprehensive and integrative understanding of both Western and Oriental medicine, supported by advanced academic training. He earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Lyceum Northwestern University and a Doctor of Acupuncture degree from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies.

His clinical expertise includes the management of acute and chronic pain—particularly involving the neck, shoulders, and lower back—utilizing authentic Chinese acupuncture and herbal medicine, Korean Saam acupuncture method, Japanese Toyo Hari, moxibustion (Jiǔ, 灸), Gua Sha (刮痧), cupping therapy (Bá Guàn, 拔罐), auricular acupuncture, and electroacupuncture. He also specializes in orofacial pain management and facial collagen induction therapy utilizing microneedling, as well as mental and behavioral or substance-related addiction.

He is an active member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). His professional affiliations include the American Academy of Neurology as a member of Advanced Practice Provider, and the British Society for Neuroendocrinology.
